H18 was the first project I worked on after moving to London, public transport was a huge part of my initial experience in this new place and I felt I got to know the place through the groups of people that would meet silently in these metal boxes all throughout the day. I began taking the H18 bus route through and around my new home and as I went I'd take these photos, hoping to seek out something of the personality of the place. In the time since the route still defines my time here, now living along it, and taking regular runs along parts of the route, this first introduction to the place has shaped my understanding and life here in this place.
